An Approach To Recovery Using Alchemy And The Twelve Steps
As you read this article I am sure you will find that the writers approach to Recovery is but another form of self reliant efforts that cannot produce what God intends for his people to experience. Without Christ and the POWER of the Holy Spirit, people will continually thirst for Restoration.

EXPOSING THE ENEMY IN RECOVERY 2
An New Way of Saying the Serenity Prayer
Grant me the serenity
To accept the people I cannot change,
The courage to change the one person I can,
And the wisdom to know that
that one person is me
I will not disclose where I obtained this information of how the Serenity Prayer is suggest to be said, but i will, however expose the enemy for who he really is. As I began to read this, The first words out of my mouth was, "God grant me the serenity," but then I noticed that the word "GOD" had been taken out, which suggests to me that this well known prayer has been distorted and made to fit into a society that doesn't need God to grant them anything. Since I am not at liberty to disclose the who and where of this alternative serenity prayer, I will simply allow you to give your opinions on what is being implied as the alternative way of saying the serenity prayer. In most cases of recovery from drugs and alcohol, this prayer is said in many of Narcotics Anonymous meetings and Recovery Programs throughout the world. It is mostly used as a quote while the members of the organization holds hands and bows their heads in prayer. With this being the case, let's look at the suggestion..."Grant me the serenity", Okay, Who are the individuals praying to if "God" is taken out. I don't think I should have to take this any further. In my opinion, only Atheist make their stand from this point of view. So it all starts with a seed, then is grows and produces a harvest. What kind of Harvest do you think will be produced from this so obviously Godless Prayer...I say this is trash at best. It is an attempt to lead individuals who suffer from Addiction into a self reliant state of mind and away from Christ. Having an addiction is hard enough to recover from, but this, to me means all out Spiritual Warfare. I could go on but I will end my note in these words:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
(Although known most widely in its abbreviated form above,
the entire prayer reads as follows...)
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
Sounds like this prayer reveals JESUS to me...
